The
Oak House provides effective and holistic treatment for sufferers
of eating disorders. Support and education are also provided for
families, carers, friends, health professionals and community workers
whose lives are touched by people with eating disorders.
Operating
from a beautiful residential home in Melbourne’s leafy suburb
of Surrey Hills, the Oak House is a private outpatient facility
offering individually tailored, self-paced, treatment programs for
people with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and other eating disorders
including binge-eating disorder and obesity. The
Oak House is a unique place - a place where hope and understanding
exist, where help and support are provided, and where freedom from
eating disorders is possible.
Previously
operating as Footprints of Angels, the Oak House began in July 2003
under the care and directorship of Belinda Dalton. Today, Belinda
and the multi-disciplinary team at the Oak House, are making a positive
difference to the lives of over 70 people - many of whom are from
regional Victoria, other states of Australia and overseas.
If
you are suffering from an eating disorder or you care about someone
who is, the Oak House can help. For further information, a private
consultation, or some support and advice, please contact
the Oak House - we are here to help.
